The main project that I’m currently working on is The Black Rook, which I am steadily editing day by day. It’s crazy to think that in the near future my debut novel will be hitting shelves.
The rest of my free time is largely spent planning for the relaunch of my clothing brand, The Putrid Hand, which I’m really excited about.
I have little time to actually write anything new at the moment, but I’m hoping to be able to write a few short stories in the coming weeks. I’m also really excited about starting on the sequel to The Black Rook, which I’ve already started to plot.
January is always a bit of a strange month for me. I invariably begin every year with a burst of fresh energy and optimism, only to find myself presented with obstacles along the way. This year is no exception to that rule, but what I do have now is a lot more perseverance. I’m determined to complete the goals that I’ve set myself, because I know in the long run that even if I slip and fall flat on my face with everything I aspire to complete, I’ll have gained invaluable experience along the way.
For now I’ll be pushing on with the first publisher’s edit run of The Black Rook, as well as plotting the exciting relaunch of Putrid Hand. After that, I can move onto other things!
What goals has everyone else set themselves out to complete this year? Let me know down in the comments.
I hope everyone has had a great start to 2022. Let’s make this the best year it can be!
